Banks' true comeback story is well done. Kinnear as the director of CIP and Sherri Shepherd as mom are spot on casts.

Reasonably well done. A sad story with a decent ending, though.

Truth is so hard to swallow by the justice system, it takes so much proof when all it wants is jail more, especially black skinned people. This film really demonstrates how the system is lazy. How the people with the power are lazy. Like a bunch of robots, they churn lazily and get paid. Well paid. And don't care much for good work. They probably were cheating in school.

Brian Banks is carried by Aldis Hodge's tremendous performance, with a solid helping hand from Greg Kinnear. It seems to stay relatively faithful to the true story, and tells that important story gracefully. However, its romantic subplot was underwhelming, as was the legal logic within its climax scene.
