Captain America: Brave New World

I'm a huge fan of Harrison Ford but he couldn't raise this film above mediocre. I normally love the marvel films but this one just didn't grip me. I found my mind drifting back to marvel films that had characters and backstories that were interesting and scripts that had wit. I thought it might be that Chris Evans was a hard act to follow and replace but James Bond gets replaced and each one brings something bigger and better but for me the new Captain America was just bland.

A poor film by previous CA films.. sorry only one CA and that is Steve Rogers.. a non super soldier just makes little sense.. a super powered Cap throws his shield it goes further and hits a lot harder.. a mere mortal not so much.. Wakanda based armor is ok .. but I'm a Stark fan :) Overall more of a Hulk sequel than a CA one.. its trying to put it in the same field as Winter Soldier but its a pale comparison.. and unless you watched the D+ series you have little idea who some of the characters are. Whilst its a little better than some of the previous material , that is not saying much as its a pretty low bar to pass.. can but hope Thunderbolts and F4 are a lot better.. Overall wish it had been more fun to watch.. I like Mackie but he lacks the presence to carry the movie and Ford looking past his prime.. but have to say wish I was in as good a shape and I am 30 years his junior.. :)

I loved it, especially the insane fight scene near the end with Red Hulk and Captain American. It was a lot of fun to watch. 10/10

Mackie tries, the movie has a few nice fights sequences, but the wider plot doesn't make sense, the big aerial setpiece is very stupid and the ending is not interesting; also Bucky's a politician now

This movies was underwhelming. The CGI wasn’t great. The plot was lacking. The storyline was predictable. I can see why they had Harrison Ford in it, without him the movie would be unforgettable. And this movie was far from one his greatest.

Harrison Ford was the only one who could act. It would have been nice to see more of the Hulk in action.

Honestly, I don't know how anyone can give this film the title "Captain America." Just because he has the shield doesn't mean he's still Robin. That's just not right. Aside from that, the film is definitely not worth seeing in the cinema, except if you're sitting at home bored alone. Even with friends, it's not worth watching. I sometimes wonder who approves something like this.

Where are we heading with the so called superhero movies. They are getting worst.
