Captive State

An underrated masterpiece!

This is not your typical alien movie. It's a slow burn, methodical, and cerebral movie. Also, an amazing glimpse at both sides of humanity. If the acting was a bit better by some folks it would have been perfect.

Typical load of alien rubbish. Why do film companies think that this sort of content is of any interest to the paying public.

This really surprised me. I was expecting a really basic sci-fi to unwind to. I was not expecting a blend of cat-and-mouse style espionage Cold War esque movie that delivers a punch right at the end. This movie isn't really a sci-fi movie. They're just the unbeatable state that gets punched in the face by a brilliant John Goodman. Totally unexpected

When fast forward is your friend

Struggled to follow the film and set up was a bit rushed.

Movie is somber plotting and boring. I am sure it is trying to have deep meaning about society How we can be swayed but the human spirit survives. The movie just does not work and do not waste your time.

There's plenty of tension & action, but about what I have no clue. I would say that the plot made no sense at all, but I don't there is anything that qualifies as a plot to be found here. If you check my profile you will see that I have left exactly one review, this one. That' s how bad this movie is.

This movie was awesome. I normally would avoid due to low ratings, but I guess I should disregard both critic and audience.

I absolutely get why most of the people who watched this movie didn't like it. If you're looking for a Sci-fi alien action adventure movie, this isn't for you. But if you like Cold-War era movies or series, or even better, if you like Science Fiction cold war era movies or series like "Counterpart" or the novel "Declare", this is the movie might be for you. It's a slow burn spy thriller. With Aliens. Anyone who wants to see an action alien movie will be disappointed. Anyone who wants to see "Counterpart" with aliens will find a true and proper gem.
