Yes, the cast is good, and you believe nothing can go wrong? Well we are wrong. Its just a bore-fest, lack of good exciting, high energy acting and singing. Oh well, we can always listen to Taylor swift music instead.

I will never understand why this movie was so poorly received. The acting, dancing and singing were great and I just loved these newer versions of the old broadway cats. I can assume the general audience member is not aware the movie is based on a musical that was based on a series of poems and this is why so many people say the story doesn't make sense. To me it made perfect sense and was perfectly made.

Tom Hooper's uncomfortable and unusual directorial sensibilities culminate just so horribly in this film. He does not accommodate the broken narrative of the musical into a cohesive whole, or even seems to care to. The performances and animation are very uncanny and self-aware, and the worldbuilding and pacing genuinely frighten me.

I thought the CGI was really good, like 2009 Avatar good. The only creepy thing I didn't like was when Judy Dench looked at the camera for no reason here and there in the movie, aside from that I thought it was good, not great, just good.

Wow, the critics were so right about this disaster. Terrible special effects distracted from watching this plotless blunder. Nicest thing I can say is that I enjoyed Taylor's song. She was on screen only 5 minutes. The advertising would like you to think she is a big part of this movie. I repeat, only 5 minutes.

Cringey, sure. Decent singin' and dancin' help it dodge total disaster. Still, it's a disaster.

Taylor slayed and the movie was perrrrfect lol love the movie 10/10 you may think its a little weird but once you get past that its hilarious and so perfect 💗😎🐱

Cats is absurd good fun without fail. It just yields to playtime for actors and they did! I managed to look past some weak cgi and thoroughly enjoy the movie.
