Catwoman: Hunted

Catwoman's character would have been much better served with a longer film. In general, this whole movie is lacking quite a bit of story and character development. ... Frankly, it could have been one of DC Showcase's animated shorts.

This is a solid superhero story with the anime style being its most distinctive feature.

Catwoman: Hunted is a more than worthy adventure for Selina Kyles first animated feature. The animation is rich, the cast is great with Elizabeth Gillies and Stephanie Beatriz being the standouts and the story is highly entertaining and well paced.

Rarely rakes itself seriously so its hard to knock it for being too frivolous. Given the more serious slant of recent DC Animation projects, it might have been more interesting to make Selina work harder for her big score.

What Catwoman: Hunted lacks in plot, it makes up for with chase/fight scenes.

This new DC Universe Movies release benefits from a strong, efficient script and a talented voice cast as it explores a jewel heist gone horribly wrong. But above all, it succeeds in merging DC's superhero universe with a strong anime aesthetic.
