Saw this movie during its run in NYC! Incredible performances from the cast and direction from Linda Yellen. All together, a beautiful film!

Equal parts heartfelt and heartbreaking, Chantilly Bridge offers a glimpse into the turmoil in the mind of aging women. The film moves with a tastefully slow pace, letting the audience identify with the characters, whose naturalistic dialogue allows banter to flow into arguments, into heartwrenching moments of silence. A must-watch!

This film resonated with me on so many levels. Firstly, it is visually stunning with wonderful landscape scenes that transport the viewer to a world of beauty and tranquility. The old house where everything takes place is particularly charming with its tchotchkefied decor adding to the film's overall aesthetic. One of the standout aspects of the film is the choice of Judy Collins singing throughout. Her voice is wonderfully hypnotic and transcendental adding to the film's emotional resonance. The film's inter generational relationships among longtime women friends and the young adult daughter of one of them connected with me on many levels. The interactions between the characters seemed unscripted and had a good balance of serious connections and genuine funny moments. Overall, Chantilly Bridge is a film that is beautiful to look at has a lot of heart. Those who appreciate character-driven dramas and stunning visuals will find much to enjoy.

I enjoyed the movie. I had not seen the original Chantilly Lace, but it wasn't necessary to follow the story. I thought the dialogue seemed natural and the characters real. It was particularly enjoyable to me because it was filmed near me and I recognized many people and locations. Overall an entertaining film!

A creative and accomplished director has created this remarkable sequel 30 years after the release of Chantilly Lace. With stand out performances by its cast, this is an amazing story of friendship and all it offers and requires, and the benefits that come from being there for someone else when they most need it, even if they are unaware. From the ensemble worked so well together, to the relevance of the story line and the austerity of the setting… it all seemed to blend just wonderfully as a complete statement. I went last Friday with 3 friends, and we all walked away very moved by the artistry and the authenticity. If you are free to go, I encourage you to do so and be reminded of how valuable friendships are.
