Charli XCX: Alone Together is an interesting documentary. I’m a big Charli XCX fan. I think she’s arguably the best pop artist working today. So it makes a lot of sense that I enjoyed this. The film works best when it gets into the creative process of her album How I’m Feeling Now. I loved the album, so it was interesting seeing how it was made. I also liked how the film explored her relationship with her fans. I do have some issues. At only 67 minutes the film does feel rushed. I would’ve liked to see more details about the album creation and more songs than the film shows. Overall, I liked this. While I do think you’ll enjoy it more as a fan I still think it’s worth watching even if you don’t know anything about her. It’s a quick watch but it works pretty well.

An emotional rollercoaster for any Charli XCX fan. Completely raw, intelligent, and humble.
