    Cheesy Christmas movie done right.

I get that this movie is intended to be satirical. I may love hallmark movies, but even I understand that. But here's the thing, it's satirical enough to be ridiculous, but not enough to be funny. This movie is the film equivalent of your high school science teacher that used slang terms in an "ironic" way, but just ended up sounding sad and middle age. Imagine your dad right now (go ahead, I'll wait) now imagine he just showed up to your house in a leather jacket, cut off jeans, and a cowboy hat. That gut clench cringey feeling you just got thinking about that? Imagine that for an hour and a half. Which is such a shame because I love this cast! I will watch anything with Brittany Snow and Justin Long (and Norm?!), but this was hard to sit through. It's a shame their names have to be attached to such a stinker…

    Unexpectedly hilarious!

This movie was awful. The characters were creepy. NOBODY wants to see Norms junk, much less hear anyone asking for it. This movie was chuck full of cringe, NOT what a Christmas movie should be.

Justin Long's performance in this film was cringe-worthy. 😫 The plot, acting, and sexual humor were absurd, particularly the mom's inappropriate discussion about her son's romantic inclinations. While spoofing Christmas movies is feasible, this script was distasteful and lacked humor. Dark humor has its place, but it felt out of line for a Christmas-themed movie.

They did a great job poking fun at Hallmark movies. The whole movies just takes every rule that Hallmark has in movie making and either breaks it or pushes the limit. It's fun to show to die hard Hallmark people and see the confusion on their faces.

I absolutely loved this movie! Admittedly, I love Hallmark Christmas movies because of the predictable plots, terrible dialog, and lackluster acting. BUT, this movie did not disappoint. It takes all the best/worst elements of 30 different Hallmark movies and shoves them into a 90 minute run time. Justin Long and Brittany Snow bring just the right levels of cringe and naivety to make the whole thing work. It's satire at its finest and I've already watched it 3 times this holiday season.

It was not good. It has weird dialogue that had the occasional dirty reference that didn't move the story. It was just an odd movie and wasn't really enjoyable to watch. (It's cliche but I was expecting a cliche holiday movie)

Typical Hollywood movie but it had some funny moments. Any movie with a random fart takes one step up with me. And Brittany, in this movie, reminds me of Kristin Wigg.
