Code Name Banshee

I found the movie to be slow moving at the beginning and it took too much time to explain things that were not relevant to the overall story. Over half the picture was very slow moving. The action was great when it started, but it took way to long to get there. Overall it is worth a watch to pass the time.

Pretty good mid budget action film. If you like Antonio B and Tommy F, you're probably going to like this film. Nice effects with the blood FX.

You have to suspend disbelief pretty far, but it's an entertaining film.

I thought this movie was great. It's an action movie, for sure but it's done in such an intelligent way. The pace feels natural at a 1 or a 10 (or 11 or 12). The dialogue isn't cheesy or over dramatic (for an action move). The cliche storyline is done slowly, calm at times, dynamic at times, incomplete at times. All in a generally intelligent and successful way. Protagonists are likable. Tons of dead henchmen. Her hand trembles holding her gun before she engages in precision violence and I love that. Caleb (Antonio Banderas) was a top assassin for the US government. But after a mission involving the Russians went bad, he is now hiding and living in a small town with his teenage daughter, Hailey (Catherine Davis). But when his protégé, "Banshee" (Jaime King) shows up at his bar, he is forced back into the game. Banshee is a highly trained deadly killer. She had a true master for a teacher... Caleb. Her father was Caleb's partner and was also involved in the botched Russian mission and is missing. To avoid failure and disgrace the CIA blames Caleb, branding him a traitor and a enemy of the state. Now Banshee has come to warn Caleb that the CIA has put a 10 million dollar bounty on his head, and a small army of deadly assassins are coming for him.... And they are led by an old and very deadly adversely, Anthony Greene (Tommy Flanagan) Now they have to team up and kill them or be killed. The story is a bit predictable and there is lots of violence, guns, and blood... The body count is high! Story is not anything special but the fights and gun play are top notch ... low B-budget action flick, but Banderas still has the shizzle, and brings it to the table :)

It was so boring until the final assault. The script was sub-par. I was disappointed because I thought that with Antonio Banderas and Tommy Flanagan (especially Flanagan, who I really like), it would be much better. I'll be warning my friends not to watch it.
