Elijah Wood is exceptional in every way and really draws you in with his incredible performance. This movie has so many twists and turns that always have you wondering what's going to happen next. It's funny, raunchy, violent, and all around weird in the best ways.

It's actually pretty good and bloody. Suspenseful as well. Elijah Wood never convinced me in any role since the Good Son but the movie was good so he gets a pass. The very ending is a tad incomplete though.

Interesting premise, solid cast, and high stakes. Yet somehow this fails to keep any interest in the characters and plot, even with over the top gore and juvenile humor.

The beginning and setup was too good and it all went downhill after a certain point.

After receiving an enigmatic letter, a man travels to a seaside bungalow to reunite with his father, who abandoned him at a very early age. The reunion is far from being a pleasant experience as the interaction between the two men gets confrontational and bizarre from the very beginning. "Come to Daddy" is a comedy thriller that keeps surprising until the last moment. Absolutely wicked!

It isn't that good. I didn't gain anything from watching this other than disgust and confusion. I watched this movie less than 10 hours ago and I have since struggled to remember the name of the movie, any events that occurred in the movie, and nearly forgot that I even watched a movie today. Quite sad.

Movie definitely had its share of surprises. Did not expect most of them. Elijah was good in this movie, but it was just all over the place. Brian ripped off his friends why did it take them so many years to come and try to get the money? And why did Jethro not know that Norval was still in the house?what did the ending mean did Norval survive and Brian die? Found myself watching till the end but why?

Felt very contrived, and trying way too hard. Tedious and shallow, full of hackneyed and tiresome schlock tropes. Any real depth escaped me. Might appeal to the immature.

5out 5 haircut. Movie not so much . Very 13th century cut. Some good gore and swingers. Do better

(Some minor spoilers mentioned) What it does well: Elijah Wood and Stephen McHattie put in great performances and clearly have done everything they can with what they were given. McHattie is a favorite of mine in general, and although he is only present for about half of the story, his terrifying performance is probably the most memorable part of the movie. What is just okay: the acting, besides the aforementioned two, is pretty average. The horror elements (kills, gore) were honestly overhyped: you'll see many reviews talk about how brutal it is, but there was honestly only scene I'd describe as "brutal" and it was quite brief. What isn't so great: This is of course subjective, but I found the "twist" to be pretty disappointing. And the scariest bit of the movie, being Stephen McHattie's character, is only present for the first half...so that certainly didn't help with the climax. Giving it a 2.5/5 because for me, it sadly falls into the category of "wish I hadn't wasted my time watching it." And that is mostly the fault of the screenplay as it is written, not any of the actors. I wish the movie had been centered exclusively on McHattie and Wood, with building tension from beginning to end...and perhaps a setting with the two of them on a private island, a more isolated setting that Wood couldn't escape from easily. Verdict: Look up scenes from it on YouTube that highlight McHattie's performance and don't bother watching the whole movie.
