Definitely a movie. Glad it exists. Had a really fun concept and the execution was (in my opinion) just barely good enough to make it a fun watch.

This movie was absolute GARBAGE, the main character is dumb…the plot is just a as dumb as the MC. I just don't understand why someone would waste movie on producing this movie…

Very Final Destination. The priest who helps the leads is a scene stealing hoot.

It is a movie that is full of action and suspense and touched on certain issues that needed to be addressed, especially during late 2010s America. I know that it is PG13 so of course the protagonist is going to survive even if she has to break all of the laws and rules that got set in the movie. Wasted opportunities include letting the timer stay where the hacker set it to but have the demon torment them for all of those extra years 😳.

This is yet another horror film with a potentially interesting premise that doesn't know where to go with it. And that's a shame, because there are some really good elements here, including a nice relationship between Lail and Calloway. This isn't a horrible film by any means - more like a wasted opportunity. An uncomfortable "ME TOO" subplot involving Facinelli feels especially awkward and leaves a rather unpleasant aftertaste. There's actually some really good elements here, which makes the eventual downward spiral, including an ending virtually begging for a sequel, all the more pathetic. With a few tweaks here and there, this could have been an above average movie of its genre, but it just misses the mark. All that being said, I would almost be interested in seeing a sequel that can learn from the mistakes of this original and produce a quality product that is worthy of its premise.

I enjoyed the first third of the movie until the love interest and the sub plot of sexual harrassment were introduced. I think they could have done it interesting without these cliche plots.

2019's 'Countdown' is a film which could only be made in modern times as the horror stems from our overuse of mobile technology. SYNOPSIS: 'When a nurse downloads an app that claims to predict the moment a person will die, it tells her she only has three days to live. With the clock ticking and a figure haunting her, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out.' There's something very original here and this film will spawn many copycats in the future. I'm sure there'll also be sequels to this film as it's left wide open for them. It's almost guaranteed and I'm surprised we've not seen one yet. With any film like this though the stronger the lead actresses performance the better the film and Lail (of 'You' fame) really sells this film. Her performance is full of tension and you believe it wholeheartedly. It's a film full of solid jump scares and gruesome deaths. A fun look at society's dependency on technology and proof you should always read the terms and conditions. 7/10

Sprinting to the expected plot, then another direction, then back to the original, unexpected not star of this flick. Imagine voodoo... You walk into a parlor in New Orleans, sit at the table hand the tarot card reading lady, have her read your cards for free, she reads your fortune you say thanks and walkout... with no tip. She says nothing takes the hair you left on the chair, and she attaches it to the voodoo doll, and gets to work... NO Wait! Wrong movie. Lesson in this movie, is to watch what you download, those apps are killers!!! The movie was basic, easy to follow, okay action, good acting, and entertaining. Not much to detail without spoiling for those of you that haven't watched the movie. Let's just say it's everything you think it is, put together well, with sequel expectations, IF enough of us watch it... Would I watch #2.. Yes I would, again entertaining, even if you know the whole story before you sit down. Countdown meet Final Destination ... Entertaining with little known talent. Acting was good, sets were realistic, writing was good... In my opinion, it was worth the time investment! You should watch it!!! -Matthew

Kurz gesagt, durchschnittlich…

RIP William 🕊️📵
