These movies based on real events can be heartbreaking! Great movie and hopeful for better corporate decisions in the future along with better accountability.

Great film. Stellar performance from Mark Ruffalo. Almost unbelievable how utterly ruthless DuPont were in the pursuit of profit. And equally unbelievable how they let their own employees and countless innocent people die as a result. How did no-one end up in jail? How can anyone call this justice? I'm still angry a day after watching it. It's an appalling story, well written, well paced. (My only gripe would be how Mark Ruffalo managed to pull Ann Hathaway - but that really is not the point. Or is it Dupoint.)

Not the cows!!! Moo-hoo. Dark Waters is a biopic drama about the effects on people's lifes, both physically and mentally, regarding chemicals dumped in the water. A legal battle at it's finest, what differentiates Dark Waters from others like it is the insight to the innocent people effected, not just lawyer disputes. What remains is a really good environmental thriller that can effectively change the plot with the snap of it's fingers. The Teflon scandal also multiplies the already tense atmosphere and masters body language combined with the sadness, levels up the eerie dread in a impactful way. The acting also sinks the viewer into actual tense conversations that some legal dramas lack. But the powerhouse performances (including a best from Mark Ruffalo) just makes the film even more elevating. Overall, Todd Haynes at his thought-provoking, Dark Waters awareness and deep, foreboding storytelling is certainly going to be staying relevant for a while longer. Grade: A+

Interesting true story given a pretty ordinary adaptation for film. Nothing bad about it, but it was pretty much carried by the source material.

Great movie on a true story. Ruffalo played the part well as a lawyer. It did have parts that were dragging but once it showed evidence, it was thrilling.

Well made in every way, gritty, gripping and story arc. The acting is perfect, and the addition of Bill Pullman in a role made for him, brings it up a notch further. It's an important movie, the story behind it is horrifying, but it's told with restraint. Must see.
