Some movies are cool. Some movies are quirky. The biggest problem with this movie is that it tries too hard to be both of those things. The story is a modern day Romeo and Juliet, not done nearly as well as Baz Luhrmann's amazing rendition. The attempt to frame shots and scenes in a way that shares the hipness with the audience just falls flat here. Alexandra Daddario is always good and this one is no exception; however, her performance is not enough to save this one. There are some fun scenes. The movie is disappointing but not the worst. I think the failure is not in the script and performances, but in the Direction and Cinematography.

A horrible attempt at a rendition of Romeo and Juliet. The acting lacked any inspiration, the action felt cheap, and the direction was nowhere to be found.

Overall, there's no way to say it other than this was highly disappointing. A modern-day Romeo + Juliet is certainly welcomed, but this was weak, uninteresting and nothing ground-breaking.  We are given many characters to follow, but like the plot, I couldn't invest in any of them as they do very little on-screen to keep movie lovers engaged, entertained or excited. Credit where credits due, the film has tried to be creative, fun and modern, but in the end, it's just a film that I've already forgotten about.

No esperaba nada y logro decepcionarme. Romeo y Julieta pero moderna y aburrida.

Alexandra Daddario is often far better than the material she is given and that is sadly the case here.

Most boring movie --talk to much. 25 minutes into the movie I have to stopped watching. I can direct better than this movies.

Apart from the obvious plot line, it fails in every other department. There are nods to several auteur directors which cheapens it attempts at originality. It's as flat as a pancake.
