It doesn't have to be good to become a family Christmas classic!

AMAZING FILM!!!! Campy but so sweet and funny. A new favorite Xmas classic

The best part of the movie is Dolly Parton (which is expected whenever she's in a movie). The bits without her range from bad to good and hover mostly on the meh side. Vocals and choreography are pretty great. Lyrics range from meh to good, with the Dolly numbers being up to her usual quality. I wanted to turn the movie off in the beginning, but it did pick up enough to be in enjoyable after about the 25ish minute mark. I'm glad I sat through it. Plot is a pretty run of the mill Christmas movie with a fun enough twist made better by Dolly's performance.

Turned off after 5mins. Absolutely awful.

I turned into this movie thinking the music would be inspiring and beautiful. The writing was horrible but the music was just as bad. I'm totally blown away that someone that does music so well could get it so wrong. I had to stop watching half way through. It was just unbearable.

It's cheesy and predictable but very CHRISTMAS!! I loved it

I mean, it does its job as a Christmas movie, nothing special though. The characters felt dry and unreal, and the songs were forgettable. Not Dolly's finest work.

It is what it is, a very nice/fun Christmas TV musical movie for the family, I loved most of the songs, the dancing was so-so, the story was day-time soap-opera stuff but I love it anyway, Dolly was great, in her singing & acting, it was a fun movie to watch.

A Christmas musical film starring the legend Dolly Parton with original songs written by her. It is a simple story in which an embittered woman plans to sell her small town, regardless of the consequences to the people who live there. A bit of a cliché and perhaps without the songs or without Dolly Parton, it would have been a terrible movie, but it has great choreographies and it's a humble project that is full of Christmas spirit and joy.
