Although some of the story elements don't quite jibe this is a thoughtful and at times artistic take on nightmares and reality.

Time capsule late 80s supernatural horror flick that borrows heavily from other films, yet still manages to feel original. Certainly worth a watch.

It's a little dull and messy, with a plot that gets a bit convoluted, but there are some pretty cool dream sequences throughout. Even if they don't at all fool you. I think the filmmakers unconsciously made a film about a woman's awakening and conversion to lesbianism. It's pretty subtle, but it's there. So that might make it resonate more with some people. I, unfortunately am not a lesbian...

I really badly want to see this movie again. It's one of the most weird, wonderful, scary and unpredictable horror movies I've ever seen. I can only find it on VHS tape on Amazon, which is pretty useless these days. If you ever get the chance to see it, stick with it, even though the story slows down in places. Some of the dream sequences will take your breath away with their brilliant macabre shocks and chills. Throw the horror movie cliche book out of the window. This movie sneaks up and grabs you with the evil magic of unpredictability; and the special effects are stunning. 100% fresh tomato score from me :)
