Eaten by Lions

Making splendid use of its seaside setting and cannily exploring issues of xenophobia, integration, disability and family, this isn't particularly original. But its heart is definitely in the right place.

Eaten by Lions will not consume your time and leave you hungry for more effective entertainment, it'll fill the void with laughs and wacky characters worth rooting for, and it just so happens to be a wonderful tale of brotherly love and multiculturalism.

Eaten by Lions celebrates the kind of heart-warming multiculturalism that we knew during the summer Olympics era in London in 2012.

With a supporting cast filled with recognisable names such as Johnny Vegas and Asim Chaudhry, this is a pleasant seaside trip with its heart in the right place.

Eaten by Lions is a fun tale of brotherly love.

The comedy may be absurd but there's enough emotion in the down-to-earth friendships and family relationships to make Eaten by Lions a mostly charming affair.

Aakeel and Carroll hold the film together with strong chemistry.
