What a great film. Parker Posey is always so good. She really knows how to project a character. She is so underrated. I found her in her Hal Hartley movies. She's so good. It's why I watched this film. The twist at 30min when the idiot isn't fucking thinkimg could've been done away with as the film doesn't need it, but the acting is fantastic. No melodrama. Really well executed comic quirkiness. Mostly. Parker Posey's character is so strong. That stupid idiot really fucked up. And moss is really astonishing.

I liked how the movie explored grief from both the protagonist's and his loved ones perspectives. How he came to be stalled in a kind of no man's land that is utterly disconnected from the realities of the past, the here and now and has no concept of a future. Of no longer having a sense of self and not seeing how those who remain try to help but are shut out, like people banging on the glass outside but cannot really hear their words. I have been there. I thought it was well portrayed both in the writing and in Aden Young's acting, giving Bruno and kind of hurt and bewildered animal quality. The quirky moments were fun and the scenery was beautiful. I thought the supporting roles were nicely sketched as well.

Yet another movie built on the lies and misrepresentations of a foolish protagonist. In this movie, it is Bruno, a man of few words and many blank stares, who brins boredom mixed with frustration to a plot that is neither comedic or poignant nor anything in between. It fails miserably as a romance, which is what the writers were attempting to portray. The co-protagonist, or was she actually a victim, said it best when she told Bruno, "You're a lost man. You're confused because you can't see past your nose." Beyond that characterization, he was a simple jerk who had a selfish view of the world. These kinds of stories have a difficult time changing direction as they typically do near the end. This movie was poisoned beyond redemption. You can't walk away with a warm feeling from a film that spends 99% of its run time navigating a storyline that originates in the selfish behaviors of an individual who is totally lacking in empathy.

Decent. The main character's long grieving process was a bit hard to believe and a little annoying, but the rest of the story was okay.

This film grew on me. I ended up loving it. The performances are excellent and the story is quite good.

I thought this movie was a fantastic piece of work. I'm not sure where the fools at the Tomatometer are coming from with some of the reviews, but this movie was superb. The reviews/critics are wrong on this for a 17%. That's just bogus. This is a must-see. Very dramatic, funny, off the wall, different, spontaneous, and well worth the watch. I give it a 5 star. Easily worth your time. I'd suggest it highly.

Pointless story, foolish plot, bad acting, all that is wrong with movies in general.

I liked the movie. Not a typical ending, but one that is more likely to happen in life. Lovely scenery and good music

Story is at least somewhat unique, still with a happy ending.
