Will Smith's performance is stunning. A must-see.

At times felt messy but i enjoyed the bleakness and stylistics.

Whether or not the movie succeeds in its more high minded aspirations (or even if it had them) is debatable but as a genre exercise, even an admittedly grim one, I think it mostly works on the whole.

"Humble Down" "I told you I was your God" no sir Only Jesus Christ is my lord and savior thank you very much…powerful moment….powerful movie.

I'll never get to see it unless it goes Bluray / Digital. I absolutely refuse to subscribe to AppleTV. I don't do ANY streaming service and I NEVER will.

Portrayal of the main character was awkward at times.

Underrated. A must-see.

Great movie. Stunning cinematography. Great juxtaposition of sorrow and hope. Touched on the Caribbean, particularly Haitian presence in slavery. Never knew the history behind the iconic photograph and his contribution to the Civil War.

Very powerful eye opener! Would absolutely watch again. Will Smith's performance did not disappoint! I can't come to imagine the pain and anguish that blacks endured and unfortunately continue to endure present day. It's sickening and heartbreaking that whites behaved this way… but am surprised? The superiority mindset is absolutely baffling!! Anyone possessing such deep hatred towards another human based on color is quite disturbed. It's shameful!
