I havent seen the first one but I know that one is amazing. This one was good and I enjoyed the effects.

I enjoyed this as a horror movie. But not as an ‘Evil Dead' movie. The peep-hole scene was good, but the rest just seemed a bit slow and bland for what I'm used to. Nothing we haven't seen before. I'd still say, watch it, but with a pinch of salt. I just think it's just another horror film.

I absolutely loved this entry to the franchise. It was scary, suspenseful , and just a good time.

Absolutely brilliant, short, punchy, terrifying and extremely gory with some great nods to Bruce Campbell and the original series.

I really enjoyed the Evil Dead and Army of Darkness stuff. I dont know what people were expecting with this one, but it basically gave everything a horror shpuod give. Amazing gore, suspense, jump scares, great visuals and the sounds/voices were amazing. The final "monster" was absolutely incredible. The only thing lacking from the modern evil dead stuff is the comedic/whacky element that theyre known for. I still enjoyed this horror movie.

Not too much to say about this film. Reviving old movies and series to make a new film is a common thing, especially within the horror genre these days. Some of these remakes or new releases are fantastic and some kinda fall flat. For me, this leaned much more on the flat side. We went to see it opening night in theaters and it was so exciting to be seeing a horror movie on the big screen again. Movie theaters just give that better ambience for horror movies with how dark and loud it is compared to watching it at home. The side plot of the family "issues" wasn't really forced down your throat and it didn't overthrow the ascent of The Book of the Damned being the big feature, always a plus! But a lot of moments in this movie did feel forced and a little just…stupid. But there was moments that just made my skin crawl. Graphics were good, it was a good execution in all honesty, but knowing that this is meant as a sort of late sequel/re-release type follow up movie in The Evil Dead franchise just makes it feel too cheap and cheesy.

Without the bad-ass dude with the chainsaw hand... it just feels kinda empty. Lots of gore and pop up scares but without Ash it just missing something.

One of the worst films I've ever seen. Predictable, terrible acting, same stuff that's been done hundreds of times before. I know the evil dead films are usually cringey but this goes beyond that and is just completely bad. They even had to copy a scene from The shining. Over an hour of my life I'm never getting back. No idea how anyone could think this is good.

Quite creepy in parts, not a bad horror film. I was waiting for Ash to jump out with his chainsaw arm!

There were some good scenes but it didn't wow me.
