I love this musical so I enjoyed learning about how it came to be. But, then at the end it became ‘woke’ and compared conservatives to the evil Russian police force. The new boogeymen in Hollywood are the conservatives, kinda like the Jewish people to the Russians in 1905 (obviously no where near the scale of suffering what this brave people have endured throughput time but on a societal level one can make a comparison by demonizing a whole group of people by the bad acts of a few)

Lovely, very detailed look at an iconic show. Could've gone even deeper into the various productions and revivals, but it's still a treat seeing all the composers, actors, directors etc who've been part of it, and hearing the many observation of how the show reflects events both historical and current, and thus remains constantly relevant.

The documentary was extremely well done and opened my eyes to details in the lives of those the film portrays. I'm a great 'Fiddler' fan but I learned things. Important things one will not forget.

It is very ironic that this movie is so hateful when it’s about a movie that should show us the opposite. The show and movie is one of my favorites and I have seen it many times in various venues. I was really looking forward to this documentary but it was filled with hate and political intolerance, opposite of the values that should be learned from the original show. Hopefully someone else can make a documentary about this show that’s worth seeing. I missed seeing this in the theater so I just purchased it on iTunes-don’t waste your money!

What an amazing film! I was mesmerized from start to end!

Good to a point but way too political. It distorts the reality of the original production of Fiddler, twisting it to make it feminist (Seriously? There are almost no significant female roles in Fiddler, and it promotes women unable to do more than gossip, even being separated at the wedding). The doc also has pro-abortion and anti-Trump visuals which are completely out of place. Fiddler celebrated life and for traditional values, did the movie's director miss that? The movie is also very incomplete with obvious gaps in who was missing from being interviewed and too much focus on a few individuals. Kind of a mess, but had some interesting insights as well as some fun footage (The Temptations singing If I Was A Rich Man?).
