Halloween night. A nurse returns home after another night shift. She finds her landlord being held hostage by a stranger who accuses him of rapping his daughter. The first half of this thriller focuses on the tense relationship between the two men. Unexpectedly, a second invasion takes place by a group of criminals who will test the survival skills of the three characters who we meet in the first act. "For the Sake of Vicious" is easily one of the goriest movies of 2020, delivering an orchestra of ultraviolent scenes and solid performances!

Overall, this film starts insanely slow, and the pacing is a challenge in the first half.  But if horror fans can stick it out, there is a reward as it builds towards a brutal time of blood, violence, and torture.  The concept and premise are great, but the plot outline is vague.  The actors are also fine for the most part despite spoken dialogue that sometimes feels unnatural.  The film's leading characters show the strongest aspects and development only when they are filled with fear and forced to work together, getting their hands covered in blood.  In the end, this is a fun concept with great ideas, but it missed opportunities to take it all to another level.

Let me ask you a question. Do you enjoy violence? Of course you do! It's part of you. This movie has one of the greatest depictions of violence. It is desorienting, messy and overally greatly filmed.

Grabs you by the throat from opening frames and remains nail-biting suspenseful until closing frames. This is a splatter-fest of a film, and the violence and blood letting is relentless. Normally I dislike home-invasion & splatter porn films, however, there was something about this entry that was very engaging and exciting. I think the key, is that the filmmakers really established a likable and relatable protagonist who you want to see succeed. The film follows a strong female lead as she battles & outwits these human monsters that invade her home on Halloween, hellbent to kill. Warning, this film is NOT for the squeamish, as it is by far one of the goriest films I've seen in ages.

An intense home invasion horror thriller. Normally I do not like these types of films, however this one delivers the goods and was quite suspenseful. Storyline has intrigue, and it’s action packed on the first frames until the closing credits. Warning,This film is not for the squeamish, as the gore factor is amped up and relentless.

When overworked nurse Romina (Lora Burke) gets back home from another way too long shift, she learns that a bloody stranger (Nick Smyth) has attacked her landlord (Colin Paradine) in her kitchen. Chris wants to kill him for assaulting his daughter. Coincidentally, Romina just treated said daughter in the hospital. Then, three masked men show up and want to kill everyone. Co-directors and writers Gabriel Carrer and Reese Eveneshen then change things up by putting the three characters we've already met against the three maniac masked bikers and everything gets quite messy and eyes pay the price for all the sin they've seen. Sure, there are plenty of home invasion movies, but this is 80 tight minutes and has some real moments of drama from Lora Burke, who plays Romina. There's also a great moment in the beginning as she starts taping up the bloody landlord all while trying to calm her son down on the phone, showing not only her mothering instinct, but just how she can control a situation. It's a skill she'll need if she wants to survive this night.

Came recommended: Completely 'B' if not 'C' movie, gory 100% ridiculous but fun. Well over came the expectations inherent in it's title, and with a title like that, you expect a "Troma" film, so they're pretty low. Hilarious watching a series of, "hard ass professional killers", keep swaggering into a wood chipper, with ridiculously under powered tools.

Strong performances by the lead actors and amazingly choreographed kills overcome the somewhat thin plot and character backstory. Amazing, visceral, gut wrenching movie. Not for the squeamish.

I thought it was well acted & there was enough action to keep the viewer interested. The problem I had was there were too many instances of having to suspend your disbelief. I understand even the best movies have parts where you think that would never happen but too often the audience was expected to believe the ridiculous.

Violent as Hell but fast paced and enjoyable if you don't overthink it
