Good but you knew from the start that he'd die.

Enjoyed this more than I expected. I'm not a racing fan, but nor do I dislike it. So, it was good having some depth and complexity to the engineering and mechanical side to the racing, as well as a very touching human element too. The look and feel of the story is excellent, and both MD and CB (CB in particular) are perfect casting choices

Yeh ok, movie has that fast, motor head, somewhat educational vibe regarding the era of the time and bale has that English pompous accent which I find suits his acting ability combined with his astute acting of the character which he does quite well in all his films. As racing car films go, it's not too bad and definitely worth the time to spend a couple of hours of your life to sit back and enjoy and appreciate a motor sort history which ultimately is a major contributor to global warming. But hey, so what, get it while you can and go with the joy of our forefathers enthusiasm for living in the fast lane (excuse the pun). One thing though about this film, which comes from the now, only to common, moment of time, is that the Italian dialogue has no original subtitles, which in turn makes it very frustrating when guessing what is actually being spoken and quite literally is gobbledygook ( unless your fluent in Italian and which I hate to say, English). So, in a nutshell, a brilliantly, entertaining, informational film, but somewhat slightly ruined by the fact that only bilingual Italian/English film goers actually know what we all want to know in the film. Of course subtitles will be available, but I find the laziness to just add in the original film gives it a rating of less than it should. I blame the Hollywood misconceptions that we all think we know what's being said, but really we're just playing a guessing game and quite frankly not good enough. But hey, we can always just learn every language in the world and everything would be like living in Hollywood ( very much delusional and all on drugs ) IF ONLY !!! The End. C ya x

The movie was solid overall, though it felt a bit lengthy. It might have been more engaging as a TV series. Nonetheless, it delivered a satisfying experience.

    Gripping the whole way through

Historic story, beautiful cinematography, effects and costumes on point, and Christian Bale doing Christian Bale things. The movie tells the legendary rivalry between Ford and Ferrari from the 1960s and is just a pure enjoyment to watch whether you are a fan of motorsports or not.

I've finally realised Damon can't act.
