The setup is very slow but when it gets into the main story it’s much more compelling. There are still moments even in the best parts of the film where the pacing is uneven. The acting is really great, especially the main girl, played by Lexy Kolker. The film has a lot of charm and is probably more memorable than it should be. Some of the special effects are pretty cheesy like a bad Marvel film. The whole super villain/hero concept has nothing new but this does try to tell a different story with it. I’m a bit torn on this film and the ending really amplifies that feeling of being unsure whether I like it or not. The ending is satisfying and disappointing at the same time. So even though it is not perfect it is charming, unique and interesting and will remain in my mind longer than it probably deserves. It’s not a bad film as it does have some great ideas but it is just too inconsistent to recommend overall.

If you have super powers, why do you live in a hovel. Then you got us all suffocating there, writers. The acting was okay, but could hair&makeup trip Bruce Dern’s nose hairs? Even Matt Dillon didn’t have to look up at that. Why make us? Why does the poor cook have to die? Couldn’t you have squeezed Superman or Goggle Man in there to protect him? Good grief! Why didn’t you tell them earlier they could fly? They could have zoomed off with those stacks of money and bought an island. Dang it.

Apart from a mildly cringey ending this movie was absolutely freaking sick I'm left begging for more.

The story is well-patched though not deep. The movie is dynamical and gives a thrill. The message is clear) All this surprisingly good for a low-cost production.

Not groundbreaking but quite watchable sci-fi; great to see Bruce Dern, although he's far too creepy to be anyone's grandfather, but Lexy Kolker is the standout - she is excellent as the child and I hope she has a great career ahead of her.

I hadn't heard of it and decided to give it a go. Really pleasantly surprised. It stars out a completely different genre and has you guessing. The actress who plays Chloe is amazing for such a young age! Film finished and now I want more!

The idea of it was nice and good quite like nothing else but the plot was trash could've done and acting was not so good not worth watching and just wasted potential

Terribly acting. Horrendous writing. Multiple plot holes. The writers think a 7-year old acts like a 3-year old. It's painful to watch this annoying girl defy her parents who are trying to protect her (and even tried to kill her dad). Characters make stupid decisions and unnecessary self-sacrifice. God awful.

absolutely amazing. very unique. it helped that i didnt know anything about it so the start was so interesting. you get fun "wtf is going on" from weirder movies, while also the fun entertaining elements of movies like xmen

We sort of figured out the hook of the movie early on. More comic bookish than reality so don't expect to actually feel scared or "thrilled". Enjoyable to watch and funny in parts but not really memorable.
