Decent horror flick. It's fun to see Vince Vaughn play a different type of character. Blumhouse did a pretty good job again.

Is it campy and corny? Yeah. But it's really balanced with both the carnage and the comedy as horror comedies goes. The acting is swell especially the leads, the body switching kind of story was actually too good to pass along with a couple of heartfelt moments that makes ya feel a bit sorry for. If you're a fan of these kinds of horror comedy movies, I'd give this movie a watch and see what y'all think. 7/10.

Not without some minor charms but for a movie that's ultimately pretty silly its often a little too smug for its own good.

This was a very awkward movie about a serial killer switching bodies with a girl The fact a grown man kissed a child was ridiculous I watched it and it is what it was. I wouldn't watch this again ever

This movie was pretty good. Sense they had Vince Vaughn in the movie, they really went for the comedy, and I thought it somewhat worked, but it did take away from the horror, which was supposed to be the major focus of the movie. Also, they went crazy with the gore, and it looked amazing. The acting was excellent, and so was the plot. I thought the plot to this movie was really original. I would recommend watching Freaky. You'll have a fun time.

"How awesome would it be if Freaky Friday happened, but instead, the girl in high school switched bodies with a serial killer?!" It's the kind of thing you say out loud to your best friend at a sleepover, and that's why it's so satisfying. Freaky is the kind of movie people want to see because it's the kind of movie people wish existed. If you want to watch something refreshing and have a good time doing it, this movie is guaranteed to deliver. It is a true Horror / Comedy masterpiece that is as funny as it is gory. The script is engaging from start to finish. The casting is spot-on, the jokes are clever, the kills are excellent, and the soundtrack fits like a glove. And to top it all off, it's a powerful celebration of queer horror. You would have to go out of your way to find a reason not to like this movie. The only complaint I've seen tossed around is the lack of backstory regarding the ancient knife and the killers' origins. I personally don't believe a more in depth backstory would change the experience at all. I can't think of many movies that have more plot holes and lack of explanations than Back To The Future, but NO ONE cares. Do you know why? Because, like Freaky, it is a unique, entertaining, masterful blend of genres that's meant to be enjoyed. Let yourself laugh when it's funny. Let yourself jump when it's startling. It's okay to simply sit back and have a blast watching a movie. I promise.

"Freaky" is a horror-comedy film that manages to deliver some good laughs and jump scares. Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton give great performances in their respective roles as a serial killer and a high school student, who mysteriously switch bodies after a failed murder attempt. The film's premise is an interesting take on the classic "body swap" trope, and the script does a decent job of exploring the comedic and dramatic potential of the situation. The humor is mostly derived from the contrast between Vaughn's imposing, masculine physique and Newton's smaller, more vulnerable frame. There are some genuinely funny moments, especially when Vaughn's character tries to navigate high school life in Newton's body. However, the film's horror elements are somewhat underwhelming. The kills are neither particularly inventive nor suspenseful, and the film relies heavily on cliches and jump scares to create tension. The gore is plentiful but not particularly memorable, and the killer's motivation is never fully explained or explored. "Freaky" is an enjoyable, if somewhat forgettable, horror-comedy. Fans of Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton will likely find it entertaining, but those looking for a truly scary movie may be disappointed. If you're in the mood for some light-hearted horror with a side of humor, then this film is worth a watch.
