French Exit
audience Reviews
, 43% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsYou'll either find the deliberately weird episodic plot amusing or not (I personally found it quite funny) but more importantly this is the best use of Pfeiffer's considerable strengths as an actor in a long time.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNeeds more Michelle action
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFunny, moving, unexpected. Great performance by MP, as always.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis is the most bizarre, crazy, depressing movie I have seen in a long time. Plain schizophrenic. Please do not waste your time watching this crap.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsHonestly the worse movie I have seen in ages. Watched as I hoped there maybe hood scenes of Paris, decent French language. It was not black comedy. It was slow torture. Not one character was at all relateable.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsthis is a poignant poised and thoughtful film about values one chooses in a glamorous public life. The mother/protagonist dominates her small son, she chooses her values, her son meekly follows, perhaps to self-actualise one day. The mother uses her beauty and charm to find her way, yet it is those same attributes that constrict her options. She has chosen her path, and we respect her for actualising it. She is an incredibly strong character, and in this case, it equates to being unable to change or reinvent. Paradoxically, her son may be the one able to do just that. Ive watched it twice to get the different layers.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOddly watchable, and in the beginning showed promise, but in the end pointless, pretentious & self conscious. The many loose threads never tie together in any meaningful way.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis movie was about 1 1/2 hours too long.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsGlad to see Pfeiffer star again but there isn't a lot to like besides her performance. Even her character is nothing special.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWatched only 20 minutes. Total waste of Michelle Pfeiffer
