Good Mourning

Thankfully I didn't have to pay for the tickets to this downfall.

Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun ultimately prove to be over their heads in a flat odyssey through slapstick hijinks.

It passes by easily enough, but without help from outside substances, this showbiz/stoner comedy doesn't really offer anything we haven't seen before and never achieves more than a mild chuckle.

The thinly sketched film generates some scattered big laughs but wears thin quickly, leaving it noteworthy only for its parade of bizarre cameos.

In the current barren wasteland that is the stoner comedy landscape, this laziness is nothing short of inexcusable.

Good Mourning certainly won’t be remembered as some sort of comedy classic, stoner or otherwise, but there are certainly worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

Marches forward as a dumb guy experience with dismal improvisation and generic plotting, putting a lot of faith in Baker and Mod Sun's fans to be patient enough to sit through what's essentially a joke-free endeavor.
