Goodrich
audience Reviews
, 85% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA really heartwarming movie with solid characters, especially Keaton, whose performance is key to making this all work. It's touching and positive, the kind of true feel-good movie that leaves you smiling. There are a few quirky script choices, but they don’t take away from the overall delight that this movie is.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsMichael Keaton and Mika Kunis star in this comedy. Goodrich is a gallery owner. His business is not doing well. Her current wife has to go to rehab so he is left in charge of his 9 yo twins. And has to reconnect with his daughter Grace (Mika) from a previous marriage which he neglected because of being busy at work all the time. And she’s also pregnant. Good feel story. A little slow at times. It has some funny moments. Good overall. 🍿🍿🍿/5
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsMichael Keaton is excellent as usual. The storyline is a bit mundane but overall it's a decent film. Love and appreciate your family, there's the template.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOverall; this movie is depressing. Kept waiting for the scene where Goodrich (Keaton) poignantly passes away and the twins end up with the very much older step sister. Storyline was a bit fragmented and wasn’t sure which way it was going. Filming was done like the everyday filming of a tv series without the commercials not much the filming of a movie.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsAlmost anything with Michael Keaton is worth watching. This movie was good but a bit slow, still well worth the time.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThere are only two reasons to watch this movie: Michael Keaton and Mila Kunis. They're fun to watch. Otherwise, it's a self-indulgent and not terribly interesting story about cluelessly rich residents of Los Angeles. In that regard, it reminded me of the TV show "Shrinking," which I also didn't much like.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsMichael Keaton is always good, but this script is very weak. I powered through but lost interest very quickly. Nearly a 2 hour run time should have been cut about 20 minutes. It’s all over the place.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIt was a really good movie. Michael Keaton was great in this movie.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWhile uneven and needing another edit, Goodrich and its performances were definitely worth catching. The movie would have done better eliminating the workplace scenes by focusing much more on Goodrich’s familial relationships - or investing more into the bonds with people at his gallery, which all seem cookie cutter. Streamlining the plot or making the broader arc coherent would have bumped this movie up.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsDirector Hallie Meyers-Shyer does solid work here, painting the picture of a work-a-holic, aging dad (Keaton) and his pregnant, adult daughter (Kunis). Andy Goodrich's eponymous art gallery is going under while his much younger wife (with whom he had twins 9 years prior) has suddenly checked into rehab. Can he and his estranged daughter handle the kids and save the gallery? A good family drama to watch on a holiday or when you've got company - all will enjoy. Look out for a cameo from Multiplicity co-star Andie MacDowell (she looks a lot different today).
