The events in Searcy's film demand to be taken seriously. The way he portrays them, sometimes, cannot.

Tells a story worth telling, and does so reasonably well, but while it avoids actual preaching, it's still addressed to the choir. That doesn't make it a bad film, but it could have been a better one.

The film never loses sight of the choir to which it is plainly preaching.

It's a slasher film about a bogeyman of a different, more disturbing sort.

Triumphs as a rather good melding of true-crime story and courtroom drama, with a chilling and direct message sure to trigger many and shock many more.

The film may be preaching to the people who already believe that abortion is the taking of the most innocent of human lives, but perhaps it will inform and change some hearts.

Seriously lacking in local authenticity, while also propagating multiple false myths that came out of the Kermit Gosnell saga (Philadelphia Weekly)

An amazing film about the arrest and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell who performed abortions under the most dire and unsanitary conditions. Whether Pro-Life or Pro-Choice this movie should be seen.
