Simplesmente maravilhoso! A sensação de ver esse filme é única. O que o Ahmed faz pelo John é simplesmente penetrante.

What seemed like a typical action movie, or a US military 'wank', provides a slow-burn exposition of the risks interpreter's in Afghanistan faced during and after the US occupation. The film does simplify the Taliban, and barely touches the nuances of Afghan culture, but it holds due to the powerful main characters. Dar Salim's performance in this film is incredible, and JG does a solid job as the 'lead man'.

Pretty good but a little cliche. Really touching story though and pretty good acting. Gun fights weren't that good.

Loved it, keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole movie, great acting from Gyllenhaal and Salim, and an important message. It's a shame these things happened.

One of the best war films I have seen in the last 5 years. Story, cinematography and acting were all amazing!

Excellent movie. No fat it's all meat on the bone. A gripping story about honor and having one another's back, with a not-so-subtle subtext about how the US has left so many interpreters high and dry or worse. Pointing towards the damning of the war in Afghanistan and the complicated mess the US created, perpetuated, and has left behind. All of this while being a very good action military movie. It's really entertaining but with something to sink your teeth into too. Strong acting by both leads as well. Excellent directing and Guy Ritchie really does well with the montage sequences, which can be difficult to do well.
