Meh... Just to pass the time, boring but good CGI (better than the DC one) LOL

It is a daring film. 🍀

I'm left with a brainworm of thinking how the story would have gone had the protagonist been a late teen/young adult and there'd been more contention between the mom and the daughter and the mom's boyfriend (Nordin) who had stellar chemistry with the protagonist. Now the drama was a little meh, not terrible. Horror definitely was not there. This is an allegorical drama.

Si bien la película adopta el concepto de los doppelgangers de forma superficial es muy incomoda de ver con actuaciones medianamente buenas y efectos especiales muy bien logrados.

Sorry but this movie is overrated. A bird-like creature that suddenly becomes a sensitive humanoid (or something that looks very much like it) is utterly childish and ridiculous. If you like fantasy movies or if you can easily suspend judgment (or if you liked the original ‘ET' movie) this film is for you. But if you expect something more realistic, you will dislike this movie

De vez en cuando es bueno encontrar propuestas frescas del género de terror. Esta, que involucra temas como la maternidad y la rivalidad fraterna, tiene a su favor el mantener el nivel de tensión todo el tiempo, con un final misterioso.

Amusing, but ends a bit early I think.

Pésimo guion, pésimas actuaciones y pésima dirección, parece un mal episodio de una serie infantil de terror…

Narcissist mother . Child trying - and failing - to live up to mothers image/introject of her. Pain of mothers rejection / inability to see / accept true self of child —causes child to begin to internally split from her true self - into the false self . (Hatches bird monster) Child - true self - Bird monster : false self SPOILER below: ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Epic battle as child realizes false self is going to hurt people she loves in defending her from pain — and take control of her life . In the end , Mother butchers true self of child & Bird monster aka newly emerging false self wins . Child becomes narcissist just like mother. Ta daaaa

It's pretty good! Lots of good moments where you can't breathe. In some ways very sad but has a lot of important themes it wants to deliver on and does so. Acting was very good as well! I enjoyed it but it's one of those movies with no conclusive ending again. Definitely better then We Need To Do Something by the same studio. I did like it and really felt for the main character. Delivered well on it's themes, good stuff. Like a 7/10 give or take.
