Hell Hath No Fury is a small scale film with some strong performances and nice noir elements wrapped into its tale of people in war and the bad things they do.

A brutal and bleak movie, Hell Hath No Fury delivers a mean, hard-hitting punch in a 90-minute package. Ultimately, there are no heroes in this story, only survivors.

Hell Hath No Fury is one of those action movies that makes up for some clunky dialogue and mediocre acting with plenty of suspense and a memorably fierce lead performance by Nina Bergman.

Hell Hath No Fury is genuinely thrilling, placing a myriad of characters into a boiling pot, riches of gold buried in the ground, and the sting of war surrounding all of them.

It's a treat to see Johnson continually honing his craft as an action director, but what's even more striking is how much of Hell Hath No Fury is a straight, bracingly bleak drama.

Hell Hath No Fury is no World War II epic, but it is a pungent short story about how war reduces some people to their basest instincts.

The characters are believably battle-hardened and weary, and their bitter exchanges do more than just mark time until the visceral, action-filled climax.

"Fromage," as the French would say. And not the good cheese, either.
