A fórmula de seus filmes se repete, por isso não tem erro. O 'feel good' é garantido.

Though small in scale this South Korean film is particularly charming and quite funny, with never a dull moment among the natural approach given by the writing and cast's performances. I wouldn't say the film was meant to or even exceed the limit of Art House drama, though it's quite obscure hearing the dialogue mostly in English. But really, the subject matter and drama at play really make the film what it is; a "feel good", "catching up with old friends" type of drama/comedy that barely resembles the type of film viewers would expect to see. Definitely a worth while choice I've seen at MIFF ;)

A Japanese visiting Korea to rekindle a friendship, and possibly transform it to something bigger. Just the right touch of comedy for the cultural clashes but its main story, the foundation, fell flat in the end. As much as it begged to be introspective, there are not much details to look or immerse with. There's nothing to root with the protagonist. At least, it didn't go to the usual cinematic tropes and dramatic cliches but it offered nothing better as alternative. Kudos for the nonlinear storyline but it didn't improve anything. Kind of a waste of time.
