It just seems like horror films with this kind of a setup always seem to go in the same direction. šŸ€

Good cinematography; well acted - cutting issues etc possibly to shorten to time... lots of 'why' moments not explained but still enjoyable enough...

Imagine someone promising to tell you an exciting story and you sitting there with baited breath eagerly awaiting the tale- and then it stops abruptly at ā€˜Once upon a timeā€¦' That's exactly what Homebound did to me! All the right questions are asked through the convincing acting, the eerie setting of the shadowy old mansion, the expectant moodā€¦ Is the father evil? Or was the mother? What happened to the children's innocence? What's with the alcohol to the kids and the children slaying the duck? Where's their mother? Brilliant! And then it's like the writer of this movie script suddenly got called to dinner smack bang in the middle of it all - and quickly scribbled in: ā€˜The End!'

This movie started off great, the actors were passionate and believable. The ending was dreadful, I expected more and was left with so many potholes and unanswered questions.

{Possible Spoilers} This movie exaggerates and plays upon the apprehension that a person has when meeting their boyfriend's/girlfriend's or husband's/wife's family for the first time. What will they be like? Will they accept me? From the beginning, I could tell that the new husband was a creepy 'James Cameron' type and the young wife was kind of wide-eyed and oblivious. These country English mansions are always a good setting for a thriller because they are so old and isolated- a person in trouble can't easily get help. I had an inkling as to what happened to the childrens's mother...

There r way too many movies out like this. Did they just forget to write the ending??Very annoying! šŸ˜”

Short feature film, at just over 70 minutes, but no shortage of atmosphere or suspense and intrigue. There isn't much of a plot, and what it builds towards isn't very auspicious as it ends rather abruptly.

Very strange story. I do think the poor fiancƩe stayed a lot longer than your average intelligent person. "Like, good luck with this. I'm taking a taxi while you sort this out."

It had so much potential. The numerous plot holes were masked by good acting. There were so many directions this could have gone, twins that seem to knew each other's thoughts, a father who is loose with plying under age kids with alcohol, the constant ominous shots of the cellar door. But when the final line was delivered and then the credits rolled, we all groaned. No look at the state of Mom and huge questions about what exactly the final line meant. Such a shame.

meh; i've seen worse. it's incredibly predictable but it didn't really seem that cohesive, which was the kicker. you can tell what it's trying to do, but i feel like it never really got there. & they should've done more with that final ending - i left feeling very unsatisfied. i wouldn't recommend.
