I absolutely loved this movie. The characters are compelling, relatable, and realistic. It handles issues that can be delicate in a very respectful way, and gives a ton of depth to the basic "bad girl meets good guy who shows her what real love is." It's got some tooth-rotting sweet moments, but they're not constant and therefore they were cute and fun to watch as opposed to predictable and cheesy. The cast is great, and has tons of diversity that isn't just for the sake of marketing for diversity. It was the most enjoyable romantic comedy I've watched in a long time. This film is criminally underrated in my book!

More of a personal problem what is the writer, or director or whatever have Brittany Snow sleeping a lot with black guys recently this movie then X. Hollywood we like represention but keep your black guy and white girls storylines locked up for a bit it's over saturated. Do you do realize black men like black women too right? There are a whole bunch of black women want to get their big chance it almost impossible when you're writing dumbass movie plots like this train wreck.

Hooking Up is a familiar modern road trip romcom. There's edgy humour and wit to fulfil your easy watch needs. Richardson and Snow have all sorts of fun here. It's worth hooking up with this one.

I dislike both the premise, and the execution of this film. 1.4.8.8

I thought the movie was hysterical. Not sure why so many people did not like it. I think certain people have a problem with a strong woman, not in a traditional role, having a relationship with many people, including several times with a black male.

I liked the preview so I decided to watch it. While I'm not too familiar with the leads, I grew to like them both for their portrayal of the characters. The movie plot seemed like it could've been been shored up a bit but it ended in a way that made me smile. I wouldn't recommend unless asked specifically if I'd seen in and my thoughts.

Fun moments throughout keep you entertained despite the predictable script. The story is good and pretty unique when it comes to road trip movies, but you could see every twist and turn on highway 69 cominga mile off. Darla and Bailey are likeable characters, a big reason for that are the performances of Brittany Snow and Sam Richardson. While this is not a "must-see" movie, if you have a spare Sunday afternoon, Give it a go.

Really good watch, would watch again, and can recommend if you're not bummed out by cancer stories. Honestly, all I needed was Brittany Snow to watch this, and she handles the role masterfully, elevating it past being a slutty hot girl and really showing the emotions and the damage her character has installed. Sam Richardson and Anna Akana were a delightful surprise, and were characters worthy of their own movie, potentially the one leading to their break up before this movie, or even a high school movie where they first got together. Richardson really gets the same expression as Snow out of his character, as both are filled with this damage, desire to heal and a full tank of emotions. I get that some people think we have enough cancer stories in the movies as it is and don't want another one, but this really feels like more than just a cancer story: it's a non-traditional romantic dramedy with elements of cancer. I think it is well worth the watch: it is substance meets sexual humor.
