Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1

Alot of storylines with no flow. Failed to hit the mark. Especially for a 3 hour film.

Well paced with a lot of time spent on world building. Hard to judge in isolation as I feel the next parts will develop the characters more. Great start though

First 50 minutes used the word indigenous instead of Indian and the main Indian looks like someone from the Taliban.

Good western. It did very poorly so Kevin Costner pulled the part 2 movie.

Be a con, if part 2 ,3 and 4 isnt released. Excellent start. Real quality

A big effort with great scenery and some very good individual segments. The attempt to capture some of the challenges of going West in a Wagon Train somewhat worked but story line is all over the place, fragmented and underdeveloped (I don't think there was a story ) It seemed an enormous effort and expense to dramatically say very little. Still enjoyed the enormity of the filming and certain scenes, the best of which was the gunfight between Hayes and the provocative brother.

Great show, which shows why you should never listen to critics.

Is it slow, yes. Could the characters be developed more in 3 hours, probably but I think this is the beauty of it, it leaves you wanting more. I expect the characters to develop as the different stories intertwine, the stories to intensify and to be on the edge of my seat with anticipation during chapter 2. I for one am looking forward to the next chapter and here's hoping those 3 slow hours for some might just on reflection be 3 hours gained of cinematic brilliance. Only chapter 2 will tell, I guess !

S said Yellowstone will never compete in my eyes with the amazing Kevin the amazing film and to be honest if I see anyone giving this a free or one star it’s because this isn’t your era you know nothing about it and you shouldn’t be watching these films to judge Amazing film always be amazing just like the western films love Kevin but the only downfall was there was not enough Of him x

I’ve pretty much seen all the great westerns going way back and this is well above average and up there among the best. The plot can be a little confusing, although I assume this is all preparing us for plot development in the next 3 chapters. I was engrossed from start to finish and I’m looking forward to chapter 2. If you like big open plain westerns you’ll love this offering. Highly recommend.
