Low budget and mediocre acting. It's a major flaw that these environmental terrorists get around in gas powered vehicles while claiming to be saving the planet from fossil fuels! Obvious contradictions and disbelief in the story dampened any suspense.

Neon has been on an unprecedented run as of late and HTBUAP is one of the best they've dropped in the last couple years. In my opinion, it's the most underrated film of 2023!

Bordering on self parody. I would denounce this deranged fantasy as morally reprehensible if it wasn't so tedious and forgettable.

Leftist trash promoting terrorism by morons who couldn't put a coherent thought together if they tried. Of course the "critics" promote it.

I think this is great movie that has a unique plot line. It has a very nihilistic view than can force some people to face an uncomfortable truth for many people. I think if you're someone who's not used to/ comfortable with facing moral dilemmas in life or on television, you won't like this movie. It is simple yet nuanced in its message, but it also relies on the viewer to have a preconceived notion on the severity of the harm caused by oil companies, for the extremity of their actions to make any sense to the viewer. So I would for sure say that this movie is for people who are critical of the oil industry. Also, I wouldn't say it "glorifies" terrorism or violence, it's just a movie from their perspective, also the movie somewhat addresses this point, although light-heartedly. I think it's a great movie considering the subject matter, the cinematic style, and circumstances. Its message is simple and powerful, fun watch if you like more narrative-driven thrillers.

Not quite sure why this is rated so high. A decent watch, but nothing mind blowing or extraordinary.

Great plot. Very well filmed, and nice photography as well. Plus, definitely the movie conveys a message that must not be overlooked.

How to Blow Up a Pipeline is a thrilling heist style movie that revolves around a group of activists that work together to blow up an oil pipeline and throughout the movie we get to see each character's backstories and motives while also seeing how the group came to be and the whole story and how it was formed is what makes this movie so suspenseful and thrilling. The build up to the explosions is similar to Oppenheimer as there's this intense buildup that cuts between the present and to the past and the way certain scenes are positioned and delivered is just all so satisfying and makes the payoff by the end so incredibly executed. The whole ensemble in this movie did amazing as a lot of them are niche actors like Lukas Gage who was in Netflix's YOU recently, Ariela Barer who was in The Runaways, Sasha Lane from Loki, Jake Weary who I know from the Fred movies on Nickelodeon, they're all just an ensemble that I would never have thought would've had such an amazing dynamic and chemistry that feels grounded, not forced, and just all works together so nicely without any of them outshining the other characters. The direction this movie took was also what made this movie really really intense. Daniel Goldhaber only has one other movie that I can see from IMDB and I'm honestly excited to see what else he does because just from this movie alone I can tell he knows how to balance out an ensemble and make such thrilling and intense buildup. This is the type of director I'd like to see do a horror franchise or maybe even DC or Marvel and hopefully he'll get that chance. Overall, How to Blow Up a Pipeline blew my expectations for this movie out of the pipeline and I'm glad I got the chance to watch this movie because I was not expecting to enjoy this movie as much as I did. B+
