I enjoyed it, but it's more of a streaming movie. There's a lot to criticise, mainly with large bits of the plot, horrible narrative and pacing. Production values are high and the decent cast doesn't let anyone down, they just don't have a quality product with which to work. The end credit scene would have been an ‘oh, wow' moment if the film was really good. Instead the film comes across as thinking it's smarter than it is and almost insulting that they think they'd have a sequel to this - on release at least; a sequel for streaming would be ok.

Stay through the credits, a twist awaits!

The cast can act problem is that the plot is ridiculous and has been done better elsewhere.

This movie had so many twist and turns. I loved it. It's hard to find a movie that makes me really guess what is going on. I enjoyed it very much.

I really dont even want to give this movie one star, but I will because I like Ben. Man, what a bad movie. The script, the acting, all terrible. I can't believe this had a theatrical release.

I was totally surprised by this film. It's not about what I expected. It keeps you guessing if is this is real or an illusion. Kind of a cross between Firestarter and Inception. The cast is really good. Some probably will be confused and won't like the psychological aspect of the film. But I found it to be entertaining and a nice escape from the big budget sequels it is being overshadowed by.

I really liked this movie. Great twists and great acting. I didn't see a weak link in the cast.

Loved all the twist of the movie, but the ending was not up too par!

This movie feels like a prequel to PUSH released 2009. They even call the govt agency DIVISION which was the same as PUSH. Hoping this movie moves along those lines. It could easily line up and make the next movie AMAZING!

Hypnotic is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good thriller. It is filled with several twists and turns that will keep you guessing where it will take you next. This is the type of film you want to go in, not knowing anything about it. The less you know, the more fun you will have. In addition, it looks great visually with a mix of practical and special effects that will remind you of Inception and Doctor Strange. The film is a solid concept but could use some polishing in the dialogue. Fichtner, who has been in countless films, elevates the film with his fantastic performance. He is one of the best character actors in the business. There is a lot of tension whenever his character faces off against Affleck. However, despite the film being led by Affleck, he does not bring a whole lot to the film. He goes through the motions and comes off as lifeless. Additionally, Braga delivers a performance that will keep audiences guessing about her motives. I give Hypnotic 3.5 out of 5 stars. The film that draws Alfred Hitchock-inspirations, makes for a solid popcorn flick. It will easily entertain you for a brisk 93 minutes. Make sure to stick around for a mid-credit scene.
