I've Got Issues

A message from the universal spirit, perhaps, and most certainly one that carries even more meaningful weight right now than director Collins could've ever suspected way back in the before-times.

Superficially timeless and apolitical, yet deeply informed by the psychic wounds of our current moment, the movie observes collective pain with endearing absurdity.

I've Got Issues brings to mind the zaniness of Quentin Dupieux, with a dash of Todd Solondz's existentialism and the off-kilter freestyle nature of David Cross and Bob Odenkirk's stuff.

A quirky movie that ranges from brilliant satire to irritating film school symbolism, with a central theme of "life's a bitch and then you die."

Some people will automatically like this movie because they think it will make them look like they're in on some kind of cool inside joke. But people who don't want to be subjected to tedious junk should avoid I've Got Issues altogether.

Fans of Bob Byington and Miranda July will be at home with the deadpan humor and synecdochal storytelling.

The film itself has more issues than the characters inhabiting it

Be forewarned. This is not an easy watch. It can be a little to random and sketch films inevitably have some weaker segments But the best parts will make you laugh out loud.
