This doc was really really bad. 30 seconds in I wanted to slap this kid and all of his friends. If you want to watch a bunch of stupid kids being shitheads acting like they know everything then waste your time on this doc.

A documentary that chronicles the life of a 16-year old who is desperate to become internet famous. It's sad. Social media is put to the test and fails miserably. I'm all for improving your life but watching people who aren't happy for 90 minutes is tough. I just get the impression that the filmmaker is judging her lead character, Austyn Tester. When Tester isn't the central figure the film is interesting. There were some interesting issues that I wanted to see to their conclusion, but the viewer is left hanging. Entertaining, yet frustrating, it's a take it or leave it kinda film. Final Score: 6.1/10

I’ve gotta say this is definitely the best most effective documentary I’ve seen about social media stars and fame. Austin was a perfect subject for this. There’s a lot of empathy for him especially in the last act. The film does have some problems and wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending but I really enjoyed it. I really felt his emotions through everything. I like that his family was such a big part of the film as well.
