Although there are very frank discussions about the nature of faith, it doesn't feel as preachy or heavy-handed as a lot of these films do, which to me personally makes them off-putting.

The film is inspirational and beautiful when Pastor Chuck opens his church to those in need of guidance. Jonathan Roumie is charismatic as the hippie preacher. It also tackles the hypocrisy of religion, although there's a level of it in the ending.
