A sprawling musical extravaganza whose candy-colored, dandily overstuffed revelry spills over with joy and jubilance and every other happy J-word.

It's the filmic equivalent of the high that comes from eating way too many candy canes and drinking way too much hot chocolate.

With Jingle Jangle, Talbert has reimagined what a Christmas musical can do and what it can represent for Black girls in particular.

An absolute mess, but a fun mess...a fully-stuffed movie, but not a turkey.

The film works its showy magic. Or perhaps enforces its magic would be more accurate.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is the Black Chistmas story we’ve all been waiting for. The film has a big screen vibe with high production, a bombastic soundtrack, and a slew of actors that give it their all to tell this heartwarming holiday story.
