The formidable Emma Thompson costars as a harpy prime minister, and Olga Kurylenko plays the unlikely love interest; mediocre white men somehow manage to hoodwink them both.

Can't Rowan Atkinson's bumbling parody of James Bond just leave well enough alone?

It's pleasantly ho-hum and is content to be so, and while that will work for some viewers for me that's just not a trait I can get excited about.

Let's hope that this is the last strike for Johnny English.

It is perhaps time for Johnny English to have his license to kill revoked.

Johnny English stumbles into the digital age with a stale take on the spy spoof that really should know it's time to go to pasture. It sticks to its formula like glue and never wavers in its tired silliness.

The film's vanilla sense of humour is almost as retro as its protagonist.

No, Johnny English Strikes Again won't win any awards but it will resonate with fans of the character and Atkinson's shtick.
