B- the story builds up well and the ending was good but calling this a perfect movie would be a long stretch.

The movie takes a look at the lighter side of the assassin business. The director was able to draw a balance between humor and serious side of the business. Dialogue was witty and the pace was fast.

This was a sort of Korean John Wick if John Wick was a single-mom. It worked surprisingly well.

What a Netflix movie. It has everything from an amazing art direction to a well put casting, on point locations, amazing wide angle lenses. Except there is no story. Netflix, lately in love with making visually stunning movies with a big narrative flops. Kill Boksoon is not different from that. It's an unsuccessful replica of Kill Bill or any other female anti hero vengeance film. Even the so called single working tough mom theme is far from questioning the position of modern woman. You ended up just watching Jeon Do-Yeon's incredible acting which sadly not enough to carry the movie alone.

A bit Tarantino (what isn't these days), a bit John Wick ( a lot John Wick actually), but it felt unique, not generic, there were moments of surprise amid the formula... and the movie felt distinctly Korean, which is great.

MK is a company of assassins that Boksoon belongs to, but the story doesn't just focus on that. Despite the fact that she is very good at her job, we see how those skills are not reflected in her role as a mother. Dealing with a teenage girl, Boksoon faces her biggest challenge, understanding her daughter's behavior. The film intercut between the two scenarios, one full of action, blood, and deaths, and the other where the interaction between mother and daughter is the protagonist.
