If you ever wanted to see Dave Bautista and Rupert Grint in the same movie, do I have some good news for you. Overall this was a pretty great, one location, psychological thriller. It was the classic, is this real or are they crazy plot, that kept us guessing until the very end. I like how the movie just started happening with no explanation so that we were just as confused as the characters. This movie exceeded my expectations in every way.

    M. Night Shyamalan (Greatest of All Time) makes a spectacular comeback with this movie. It is an engaging and thought provoking Masterpiece of a film with great social commentary! This story has wonderfully talented actors who make you feel compassion for their predicament. I definitely want to own this movie on Blu Ray. This is M. Night Shyamalan's BEST film in my humble opinion.

Top tier M Knight Shyamalan film!

I was expecting everything would be connected, somehow there would be an explanation, or a point of all of this, but no, it just happens "because". Another M Night Shyamalan garbage movie

A good reminder that not everything in this world can be explained.

The movie fails because there's no suspense. It would've been more effective if, as an audience, we were skeptical of the apocalypse as the characters. But the movie ruins it by showing us immediately that the intruders were right. It could've had an impactful ending like "The Mist" where one is sacrificed only to learn that it was all really a delusion and the hostages fell for it. But nope. It's revealed the apocalypse is real. Plus, the little girl has no purpose. She doesn't get to decide so why is she even relevant to the story? This could have been better if it were left ambiguous until the end of the movie.

"Knock at the Cabin" maintains suspense to a certain extent. However, it frequently lacks credibility in how the protagonists would realistically act, react, and shift their points of view in such situations. Consequently, it becomes challenging for viewers to fully invest in the story, as the character and plot development appear too simplistic for a truly compelling thriller or psychological movie.
