Last Breath

, 92% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis movie did a fantastic job at making me feel like I was there with the divers and the crew. The tension, anxiety and overall sense of panic and dread of the situation was incredibly well done and not one I wish to experience again any time soon. It's not a long movie but is just right for the story needed and I felt like the cast did a great job. Overall a really good, close to great movie
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis is only half way good maybe the first time watching it. After that you watch it a second time and realize there isn't really anything exciting about the movie. There's only one thing they deal with. It's only interesting because it's a miracle he lived after having no oxygen for as long as he did. I wouldn't ever watch it a second time. Just nothing really to get excited about. This movie should have never been made. Shame on anyone that scored this over a 6. One and done type of movie. Even Woody Harrelson was boring. He shouldn't have taken this role... đ€đ
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA human story set against the backdrop of a job you couldn't possibly believe exists. Very glad Woody Harrelson didn't attempt the Yorkshire accent, he's as relatable and reliable as ever with a great supporting cast. Beautifully told and seemingly too far fetched if not for the fact that it actually happened.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsquite intriguing. nail-biting suspense. however, I do feel it is simply the situation itself that creates the suspense. film itself does not feel too great. but the event/story worth a watch
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsLast Breath (2025) Based on a True Story (11,569 â 28 Mar 2025 â by Claudio Carvalho) In Scotland, the diver Chris Lemons (Finn Cole) is happy since he was hired by a company. He leaves his beloved fiancĂ©e Morag (Bobby Rainsbury) and goes to Aberdeenshire to meet his colleagues. He embarks in a Diving Support Vessel that travels to the location where the pipeline needs to be repaired. After a period in the hyperbaric chamber with his trainer Duncan Allock (Woody Harrelson) and Dave Yuasa (Simu Liu), they go to the bell and begin their work. Out of the blue, there is a storm, the dynamic position system fails and Chrisâ umbilical breaks. He has only ten minutes reserve of oxygen but is not capable of returning to the bell. He climbs and ties up to the manifold. Meanwhile, Captain Andre Jenson (Cliff Curtis (Captain) and 1st Officer Hanna (MyAnna Buring) change the vessel to manual to hold the position and Dive Supervisor Craig (Mark Bonnar) unsuccessfully tries to recover Chrisâ body with the ROV. The dynamic position operator (Josef Altin\) successfully restarts the system and Dave recovers Chris. He brings him to the bell and despite spending 29 minutes without oxygen, mysteriously survives without sequela in a puzzle to specialists. âLast Breathâ (2025) is a good movie and a delight to people that worked or works in this area. The plot shows how saturated dives are operated since the period in the hyperbaric chamber until the repair, and is amazing since it is based on a true story. In the end of the movie, it is shown footage and photos of Chris, his fiancĂ©e and his colleagues. My vote is seven. - Rating: 3 out of 5 starsAn otherwise good movie, except for the nonsensical claim that the victim survived without harm after being without oxygen for 29 minutes. This might not have bothered me so much if I didnât happen to be a physician who is Board-certified in brain injury medicine. Someone is telling a tall tale here.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA sleeper hit, honestly. Check it out when it comes to streaming cause this was worth it for me in the theater. Tense and engaging.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie keep in interested and sitting on the edge of my seat. Loved it.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI can only assume that those thinking this was anything but an amateur dramatic attempt at reality have never seen the 2019 original. From beginning to end this was an embarrassment. I canât understand how the producers could have all the facts to hand then make such garbage. Not a single character resembled the originals. Duncan was not on his last âsatâ, as was evident by the written follow ups at the end of this farce. They all 3 completed the job 3 weeks later. Dave was not an ignorant person that suddenly turned into some caring super hero. He was/is, a matter of fact, steady as a rock type that I for one would want watching my back. Morag? What on Earth was that all about? She actually stated in the docu film of 2019 that she wasnât in the least worried about Chrisâs safety, yet here she was being portrayed as the little woman left at home. I would be here for an hour stating what was wrong with this awful drama but I just canât be bothered. Watch the original, then watch this with tongue firmly rammed in cheek
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsIt is a fine movie. You can have a good time with it. But I don't believe it deserves such a high praise from the public and critics as there is nothing truly remarkable about this movie. It is very well made and credible yes, cast is great but it fell a bit flat to me.
