This was pretty decent, but you can tell it's a scrappy zero budget movie that's rough around the edges. Stavros has a long way to go as an actor, but happy to see him go for it and carry a whole movie

I love Stav but this movie was dog s***. Corny as hell and 1.5 hrs wasted

Let's start a cult is the kind of movie you always wanted to make with your buddies. Solid original concepts for comedy movies are harder and harder to come by these days, one that consistently lands jokes and stays reliably entertaining more so. Stavvy brings it but doesn't have to carry the rest of the cast. "Transcendental" Minus half a star cause I strongly felt there needed to be a lot more naked fat guy scenes.

I made an RT account just to review this. I loved this movie. Stav made a great indie comedy film that felt refreshing. I highly recommend this. Support indie comedies!

You will laugh. You will laugh again. And laugh when it ends. Good stuff

Love Stavros’ standup but this movie is in the top 5 worst movies I have ever seen. Still love Stavvy though.

This movie is hilarious and I definitely recommend watching. The jokes hit a solid 90% of the time and the whole cast is great. The humor is dumb but in the best way possible and it doesn’t get bogged down with an out of place sentimental subplot like a lot of other comedies. Funny concept, well executed jokes with universal appeal, it’s hard not to like this movie. 4.5/5

In the right hands, I can easily imagine this script reaching the heights of any Zucker or Farrelly brothers classic you can think of. Unfortunately, the director and editor were not up to the challenge of capturing that particular cadence at all and even the funny bits wind up falling extremely flat regardless of how well they might be delivered by the performers. That's not to say that the writing didn't have any issues. It definitely did. We're introduced to Diane as a dangerously insane person nobody should want to be around but after her first scene she never does anything even remotely abnormal ever again. Her entire character is mysteriously demoted to "the girl in the car" for the remainder of the film because nobody seemed to know what else to do with her--a complete waste of a veritable premise goldmine. This mismanagement repeats itself throughout and you wind up never really getting invested in any character at all. Crowd work and longform sketch are two very different things and nobody wakes up good at either one. This needed a lot more time in development before anybody went out and rented an expensive camera they were just learning how to use. As it stands, the most you can really hope to get out of it is some amusing GIFs of a fat guy getting choked by a lady wrestler.

One of the best comedies I've seen in a while.
