This film doesn't meet my standards in ever almost, but this film I would rate no stars (0%) but half star will represent 0%

Two sea monsters run away and attempt to acclimate to human life in a small Italian town, in a bid to buy a motor scooter. Pixar and Disney have mastered water animation at this point and they are just flexing that point home by having water as a main feature in every movie. There is plenty of Italian culture on display here, but I could have used more. The story is well told and the characters likable, but I don’t think this film will be remembered in an impactful way. A good film that is worth a watch.

Sweet movie that my family really enjoyed.

I like that there isn’t a big twist villain, it is just a guy with a big ego. The story is great definitely worth the watch.

Intensely captivating and enchanting. I've never felt nostalgia for childhood in quite the same way this movie made me feel. Hits very very deep in the feels... I can't watch this without crying.

I was hesitant to watch Luca, although I'm very happy I did. It's not as complex as other Pixar films but I think that it's simplicity is what makes it beautiful. The characters are all enjoyable and their relationships with each other are very adorable. Even the "villain" is just some guy who's rude with no apparent reason. Even with the rather one dimensional "villain" the characters are a bit more complex and rounded while still being particularly basic, although with how they're portrayed it's still not a bad thing. I loved the animation, it was very visually appealing and Massimo is peak character design. The setting was beautiful; I love seeing different cultures and countries represented in movies. Like I said it wasn't complex although the ending was sad and there were a few eye watering scenes throughout the film. There were a few confusing parts but on a first watch you probably wouldn't think of it and just enjoy the wholesomeness of the story. I definitely recommend it! <3
