Maggie Moore(s)
audience Reviews
, 64% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWitty, funny, not obvious with cliches. When is the last time that I launghed at a so-called comedy within the past ten years? Never. Ham was great. The other leads were not so good. At times the actors LOOKED like they were acting into a camera, rather than conversing with someone. Featuring a Budweiser or a Budweiser sign (or both) in practically every series or movie that has come out of Hollywood has become annoying and and it looks desprate.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis is at least an entertaining film. However, it was described as a "comedy thriller" and I found zero comedy in the film despite Tina Fey and Jon Hamm in the leading roles. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but it was good enough to watch on TV for a night in.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIt is a good movie. The story is worth following. It has some of the aspects of Fargo stories. The characters are all in transition. It is interesting to see where their personalities lead them. The actors and director keep you watching.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsIt is a humorous violent movie that is charming. Hallmark meets Fargo. Nora bad watch. Hamm and his deputy have great interactions. Tina Fey is solid.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA very flat dark comedy. Maggie Moore(s) starts off with an interesting premise but quickly unravels and becomes tiresome to watch. I really wanted to enjoy this film based off of the cast which is really talented with Tina Fey and Jon Hamm. I also really enjoy dark comedies but this one was just so so. The whole setup and murder plot just comes off messy and very predictable. Also the dialogue is very stiff here with no interesting interactions. The only best part of the film is the beginning within the first 20 minutes. Anything after that is just very flat. Maggie Moore(s) gets a very flat 2 stars out of 5 from me.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsLove Chief Sanders' (Jon Hamm) not-so-subtle, fastidious attention to diction.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis movie was pure garbage. Casting poor Nick Mohammed in it was just mean. He is a brilliant actor and the role was just useless. Then to kill him at the end was just boring. What a waste of good acting talent like Jon & Tina as well. Don't waste your time. I'm only giving it one star because you can't just say what a steaming pile of garbage this movie was without one.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsIt's rated lower than I would of expected on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsJust because two actors can do comedy doesn't make a movie a comedy. Extremely slow story and obviously didn't find it funny.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI watched this film twice in one night and enjoyed it both times. A dark comedy that takes its time. Very Coen Brothers vibe. Pay attention to the little details and how they wrap them all up at the end. My family also LOVED it.
