Marriage Story

Excellently written and directed by Noah Baumbach with equally marvellous performances by Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, Marriage Story is a powerful, emotionally rich and totally genuine exploration of love and marriage that is greatly structured while balancing aspects of turbulence and heart without ever becoming overdramatic. It isn't the easiest watch, but the level of care and humanity makes this is a special film in my opinion that i'm glad i watched.

Might be the sign of a new era and style of filmmaking, it's as good as all those video essays say.

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver star as a married couple riddled with flaws ultimately resulting in a messy divorce told from both perspectives. As we can emphasize with both characters it makes the outcome all the more emotional. The lead performances as well as Dern's and Liotta's are nothing short of amazing and netted Dern an Oscar for Supporting Actress.

I've never sobbed and related to a movie so much. Like I genuinely cried with a passion, I cried like not take a pic and save it to snap type of way. Just emotionally unable to breathe. Must watch movie! Too good

Love does not entail happiness, especially in marraige! As two parents are going through with their divorce, the hardship of raising their son in two different worlds wears them down as the complications lead to even more conflict between them. Scarlet Johansen and Adam Driver manage to bring up the raw anger boiling beneath the surface of a couple that has lost the love for each other!

The best performance of adam driver and scarlett johansson i've ever seen! Also it has amazing cinematography and it's very relatable for families going through divorce.

Raw, captivating, and dramatically tense as well as greatly written and directed. [Marriage Story] displays powerful performances from Johansson and Driver. 🍅
