An underdeveloped villain and a really frustrating twist prevent “Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One” from reaching the heights of its predecessor. However, it’s still a highly enjoyable addition to this franchise and Tom Cruise’s commitment to practical stunts and action sequences remains as sharp as ever.

Stupid is, stupid does. I can't take stupid and there's whole ton of it in this movie.

It was okay I guess. I mean its not as good as MI: Fallout but hey at least this movie stands out from the other movies released in 2023.

These Mission Impossible movies have long ago surpassed and replaced the Bond Movies as the Platinum Standard for espionage films. The Bond movies still have better villains but in terms of story, action, craftsmanship and adrenaline rush, the Mission Impossible films decimate Bond at this point. I don't know how Cruise continues to top each movie in the franchise but he does. This is everything you could ask for in commercial entertainment.

MI and Cruise just can't miss. Awesome stunts, great action, and heck of a cliffhanger. Hope part 2 is just as good as part 1.

Superb! Can’t wait for the sequel.

It's not as good as some of the prior Mission Impossible movies, but it is still a fun watch

Truly brilliant and obviously made by people who truly love movies and love making them. Absolutely astounding. I advise you not to watch any other action films too closely afterwards because I assure you that they pale in comparison.

4.0 stars; OMG! When it comes to incredible stunts per minute, there is no other series out there that can beat "Mission: Impossible." This one may be the best yet. Seeing Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell climb through a series of train cars that are falling off the end of a tall bridge into a gorge—I'm not kidding—is worth the price of admission. Who comes up with these stunts? If you want to see a wall-to-wall action movie, you're not going to do any better than this. The acting is good in an "action movie" sense, but don't look for character development or anything like that, and you can't get much more serious than the plot line... the end of the world caused by an AI entity. Don't look for any "meaning of life" messages either. It's not that kind of movie. Just enjoy a hellofa ride... looking forward to part two.

Very good, I have watched and loved every other, one issue I had was that Wikipedia has it down as one of the most expensive films ever made yet the Venice bridge segment as well as the first desert segment in the beginning one of which looked like a model on the fly over and the other looking like an obvious set and not a real bridge.
